The Power of Synergy

Why More Doesn’t Always Mean Better

When CityPlat first started, it was all growth, growth, growth—more people, more projects, more momentum. It felt like the only way forward was scaling up at all costs. More was always the goal.

But fast forward a couple of years, and things look a little different. Not because we’ve stopped growing, but because we’ve started growing differently.

Over the last 12 months, we’ve actually reduced our team size. Not because of failure, but because we got hyper-intentional about who we are and what we’re building. We became protective of our vision, our energy, and the synergy within our company. Every single person is aligned, moving with the same momentum, and contributing in a way that amplifies our mission instead of just existing within it.

And let me tell you—when everyone is rowing in the same direction, the synergy is undeniable, and you move a hell of a lot faster.

Growth Isn’t Just Expansion

A lot of people mistake growth for sheer expansion. But in reality, growth is more about refinement. It involves removing what doesn’t serve the bigger picture and keeping only what moves the mission forward. That means refining roles, projects, and priorities.

When you shift from adding for the sake of adding to building with intention, things start to click. Your team moves smarter. Your vision sharpens. Your progress accelerates.

Because in the end, synergy is the fuel that keeps growth moving.

And sometimes the fastest way forward is by letting go.

Until next time,
