Big Moves at 4500 Western
If you’ve driven down Western Boulevard lately, you’ve probably noticed cranes, construction, and a lot of movement. That’s 4500 Western, our CityPlat project on the site of the old Kmart. This project started as a big redevelopment idea and is now finally becoming something tangible. I’ve been on property recently and can confirm that this place is coming to life.
This piece of land is different from your typical retail strip or office park. We’re building a space that feels like the new Raleigh. Active, community-centered, and energetic. A place where you can grab a coffee, break a sweat, hang out with friends, or catch a game all in one stop.
And the lineup speaks for itself:
CityPlat: Our new headquarters. We wanted to stay close to the work and lead from within the site itself. 4500 Western is a long-term vision and it feels right to plant our own flag here.

Gold’s Gym: Bringing local fitness and good energy to the mix.

Final Score: A basketball training facility that combines athletics and academics for Raleigh’s student athletes.
Nail Lab: Not your traditional nail salon, but a creative lifestyle space with serious TikTok cred.

Vavela Café: A Charlotte favorite coming to Raleigh, from longtime friends of mine and Nikita’s. Great coffee, better company, and outdoor seating perfect for some remote work or an afternoon meetup with friends.

Mythic Golf: 12,000 square feet of indoor golf and arcade fun.
810 Billiards & Bowling: A 30,000-square-foot entertainment anchor and their first North Carolina location.
Every one of these tenants brings something different to the table. Together, they make 4500 Western the new go-to destination. We wanted this spot to be a place where people come to spend time, and that’s exactly what it’s shaping up to be.
It’s been pretty cool to watch a forgotten corner of Raleigh come back to life. Seeing that transformation in real time has been such an incredible part of this project.
And speaking of bringing things to life… it’s that time of year again. Miracle is back.

If you’re in Raleigh this holiday season, come grab a festive cocktail at The Haymaker or Killjoy. Both bars are transforming into a holiday takeover for the annual Miracle pop-up, complete with over-the-top decor, seasonal drinks, and enough Christmas spirit to make even the Grinch smile.
See you there.
